Well Bachelor Nation, and personal fans of mine... the end of July has come. Although I never expected to actually be cast on the show, I think it's safe to say that despite the old tale, in this case, no news isn't good news. It isn't bad news either, it just means that I have to continue in grad school instead of becoming a social media influencer for the rest of my life. It was a long shot. So for now, it's back to my not-so-boring old life, sitting in my hammock and sipping on some cocktails on this nice Thursday evening.
I guess the most exciting thing to happen to me in the past few weeks was my short-lived attempt at possibly dating again. I haven't been on a date since (no joke) 2013 and I've fallen into the happiness of being single. I love being single, not answering to anyone else, not having to be responsible for someone else's feelings, and saving a lot of money around the holidays. But I guess at some point in my adult life if I ever want to be married I need to actually go on a date first. So I hopped on Bumble and decided to swipe until I found a decent "man". Didn't take too long to find a cutie.. who later turned into being a total weird person.. and therefore before it even started, I'm already over dating again. I know, I know that in order to find a decent one I will have to suffer through a few bad ones first, but maybe I will hold off for just a bit longer and relish in my single life. In my single hammock. With my dog. And maybe a few cocktails.
For now, I sadly have nothing too exciting to report to you. It's been a rather dull few weeks of Uber driving, grad student-ing, daily naps, and frequent movie trips. Stay tuned and hopefully the next few weeks of summer get a little more exciting than July has been...
